Brazilian Black Chopp
From Ferrari design simplicity to overstyling in 60 years.
I have been shocked by the images of the spectacular Ferrari F60America from its unveiling at the celebrations in Beverly Hills the past week-end. Many questions have come to my mind through the past two days and night. What is it going on at Ferrari, the most celebrated temple of speed and beauty? If I look at the chronicle of past month I see speed only in the firing of scion and prince Luca Cordero (is it pure coincidence that cordero is Spanish for Lamb, Agnello in Italian?) and to see beauty I have to look at some of the vintage Ferrari on parade at Beverly Hills, or to the Ferrari 375 MM Scaglietti built in 1954 for film director Roberto Rossellini, hand crafted precisely 60 years ago.
......... AND MARCHES ON WALL STREET.
Sergio Marchionne might have bet his highest stake in his career by firing, the way he did it, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, under the pressure of the imminent listing of the new Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCA) a the NYSE on October 13th. On that day the stock market will rate the level of confidence the financial institutions have in his new company and how much (and at which cost) Sergio Marchionne will get the investment-credit he needs to implement the business plan he emphatically announced last may. If he loose he will earn million of critics and enemies that will blame him for ever, in addition to the critics and sceptics about his plan to save Alfa Romeo and make it a 500,000 premium car makers by 2018.

How Do They Dare!
I was about to file a story on a different subject when into my mail box landed a press release from General Motors which title sounded (to me) a bit suspicious but certainly intriguing.
Its mentioned two words that rarely go well together: beauty and big. I looked into the press release and this is it:
Now, I am sure there was no intention to insult me or anybody else but in a way it does. Beyond the constitutional right of speech, how can anyone call this massive accumulation of SUV-MPV and chrome a beauty?
Are they just reinventing the train and the city?
Implementation of self-driving vehicles paves the way for an innovative approach to infrastructure design, for example by creating more space for pedestrians and cyclists by leading autonomous cars through a cost-efficient, small-dimension tunnel, according to says Erik Coelingh, Technical Specialist at Volvo Car Group.
